Qualifications

Gillian completed a PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Queensland in 2002.  She holds general registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) and has AHPRA endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist.

Experience

Gillian has almost 20 years’ experience in treating adult mental health problems.  She has worked in a variety of mental health settings, including public hospitals, private psychiatric hospitals and private practice.

Practice

Gillian has a particular interest in the treatment of mood disorders (depression, bipolar disorder), anxiety disorders (generalised anxiety, social anxiety, phobias & panic), obsessive compulsive disorder, perfectionism, low self-esteem and problems related to adjustment to significant changes in life.  Gillian utilises a range of evidenced-based treatments, including cognitive behavioural therapy, EMDR, and schema therapy, that are grounded in scientific research.
